Biographical Sketch: John C. Wang MD, MSc. has been the Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland since 2006 and is also the Director of the Structural Heart program. In addition, he serves as the Scientific Director for the Baltimore, North Region as part of MedStar Cardiovascular Research Network (MCRN). Dr. Wang is a full time interventional cardiologist with particular clinical interests in trans-radial catheterizations, complex PCIs, and structural heart disease (TAVRs, LAA occlusion devices, and Mitra-clip procedures). He has served as the Principle Investigator on over 50 clinical trials.
Dr Wang graduated from the University of Chicago in '93 and from the Pritzker School of Medicine in '97. He completed his internship, residency, general and interventional cardiology fellowships from the Brigham and Women's Hospital. During his fellowship Dr. Wang completed his Masters of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health.
