Biographical Sketch:
Nicolas Palaskas MD FACC is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio followed by residency and fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease respectively. His research interests include monitoring of cardiotoxicity in cancer therapeutic trials, immune checkpoint inhibitor cardiotoxicity, tyrosine kinase inhibitor induced hypertension, and the integration of echocardiography during invasive catheterization procedures. In addition, Dr. Palaskas is involved in education and mentoring of the both the Baylor College of Medicine Internal Medicine residents and the University of Texas at Houston Cardiology fellows.
