Biographical Sketch: Dr Abdul Hakeem is an associate Professor of Medicine and staff interventional cardiologist at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Prior to that he was an assistant professor in the division of cardiovascular medicine at UAMS and Chief of cardiology section at the central Arkansas VA Health system. His main research interest is the contemporary role of coronary physiology in the evaluation and management of CAD and multiple subsets. He has been a principal investigator of multiple studies in this area. His clinical interests and focus include coronary physiology /imaging, complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support and structural heart interventions.
