Biographical Sketch: Frank Vermeiren is the Director of Accreditation for Cardiovascular Catheterization at the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. He has over 30 years of experience in cardiology and radiology diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures. He is board-certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Pediatric and Adult Echocardiography and holds a Master’s Degree in Health Systems Management. He is a graduate of the Wesley Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology, the Johns Hopkins Program in Advanced Imaging and the Health Systems Management Program – College of Public Affairs at the University of Baltimore. He is an active member of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society (PACES), Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), the Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals (ACVP), the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography (SOPE).
