Biographical Sketch:
James A. Goldstein, M.D., F.A.C.C., graduated from the University of Illinois and received his medical degree from the University Of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland. Following residency, Dr. Goldstein completed a four-year research and clinical cardiovascular fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, at The Cardiovascular Research Institute of the University of California in San Francisco. For the next six years Dr. Goldstein directed the cardiovascular division of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, affiliated with Stanford University Medical Center. He then spent seven years at Washington University in St. Louis, where his responsibilities included directing the Congestive Heart Failure-Cardiac Transplant Program. He is currently the Director of Research & Education and the Director of the Heart Failure Section in the Division of Cardiology, William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
