Biographical Sketch: Dr. Dean received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the University of Alabama. He served his internship and residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine and received his cardiology training at the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
He currently serves as the Medical Director of Outreach and Clinical Integration of the UW Medicine Heart Institute where he is a Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
He is a Master Interventionalist of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is a past President of SCAI and is the recipient of the SCAI Mason Sones Distinguished Service Award. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. In addition, he is a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership and holds a certificate in Medical Management from the University of Washington.
