Biographical Sketch:
Roxana Mehran, MD, FACC, FACP, FCCP, FESC, FAHA, MSCAI; Professor of Medicine, Cardiology, at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is internationally renowned in the field of interventional cardiovascular disease. As Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at Mount Sinai, she has developed a globally-respected data and clinical coordination center. A prolific researcher and author, she has served as principal investigator for numerous large global studies, developed risk scores for bleeding and acute kidney injury, and authored >800 peer-reviewed articles. She received numerous prestigious awards,the 2017 Bernadine Healy Leadership in Women’s CV Disease Award, and the 2018 Wenger Award for Excellence in Medical Leadership. She is co-founder of the Academic Research Consortium (ARC) and SCAI Women in Innovation (SCAI-WIN), and a founding physician of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation where she is currently Chief Scientific Officer. She held appointments at Columbia University Medical enter and Washington Hospital Center.
