Biographical Sketch: As the founder and director of the Gayle and Tom Benson Heart Valve Center of the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans I have transitioned my practice from primarily coronary and peripheral intervention to one focused on Valvular and Structural Heart Disease. We are the busiest and most comprehensive Valve Center in the Gulf South and serve as a referral resource for the region. Procedures that we commonly due include but are not limited to: TAVR, Mitraclip, LAA Occlusion, Pulmonic valve replacement, Intracardiac shunt closure, and Paravalvular leak closure. On the surgical side, we have some of the busiest and most experienced valve surgeons in the nation. Collaboration 24/7 is the key and one that we all thrive upon.
